It was a holiday weekend so it was crowded but not completely full. We had a trailer site and we also reserved the 2 campsites right next to our trailer. It was perfect for cornhole and our big campfire circle (although we didn't light fires because it was HOT HOT HOT). There was entertainment for the kids (ping pong, pool, movie night...) and everything was family friendly. There were no loud late-night festivities and we slept peacefully (in our air conditioned trailers and cabins).

The Camp Sites... we didn't stay in the tent sites but it was pretty full during the holiday weekend. Plenty of space at each site and there were bathrooms and a horseshoe pit.

Cabins... Good AC in the cabins and they are very clean and cute. The setup is rustic but it's all you need for a convenient getaway. The members of our group who stayed in the cabins were happy with the mattresses in the bedrooms but recommend foam/egg crates for the fold-out couches in the living rooms. Bathroom and showers were great.

I made a reservation for Labor Day weekend and then I read some very unfavorable reviews on google and on yelp. I was slightly concerned but there wasn't a lot of availability anywhere else. So we decided to chance it... and I'm so glad we did. It happened to be the hottest days of the year and the fires from Oregon gave us PLENTY of reasons to complain but we had a FANTASTIC weekend. We brought our trailer and our friends rented a cabin and a trailer at the RV Park. We had NO COMPLAINTS!!

My extended family (30+ people) was tent camping. The sites were large and there was good natural separation between us and other groups. The sites were clean with access to water and toilets. Lake access was close and easy.

Rental trailer... that was AWESOME!! Our friends who stayed there loved the setup. And there were several nights where 8 of us gathered in their trailer to escape the heat and all be together. The trailer was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. This was our friends' first experience with a trailer and they tried it out to see if they liked it. They LOVED it enough that they're now talking about buying their own trailer.

The bathrooms were the only part that were just so-so. The facilities are definitely older but even so, they were functional and clean. The showers worked but the water pressure was low and the paint was peeling and the wood was showing signs of aging. But... again- it's CAMPING so having showers and flushing toilets sure come in handy. We used our trailer for showers/bathroom but it was nice to have the main bathrooms available for convenience.

Everything was well-maintained. The pool was maintained and cleaned daily. It was a nice place for families to hang out and get some relief from the HOT weather. There was frequent trash pickup and we were very pleased with the staff and their commitment to keeping the place clean. There were trash/recycle cans very close to every site and everything was kept clean and in good working order. Yes- there's dirt and things get dusty... but it's a CAMP SITE... with dirt and trees and deer and all the great things that go along with camping.

Worst camping experience ever. The lady working the desk was very rude and not helpful at all from the very start. We were from out of state and didn't know about the bear issues here. She didn't feel the need to inform us that they were there. We found out ourselves at 1 in the morning when they stalked our campsite and trashed most of our stuff. When we told her about the incident, she rudely said "well yeah it's all a part of the camping experience " and laughed at us. Also the boat dock is a joke. It's barley hanging on and we didn't feel safe to keep our boat there. Oh and don't get me started on the bathrooms... they were the nastiest restrooms I've ever seen. The paint is peeling and there is black mold up the walls. So lets just say we will not be there ever again and that that lady should retire because her customer service sucks.

The RV Sites... great hookups and easy pull through sites. You are close to your neighbor but I've found that to be common in many of the RV parks that we've stayed at. Like I said, we were lucky to have to extra campsites in between us and our neighbor so we were happy. Sewer/electric/water hookups were all in good working order and we were very happy with the condition of the park. There's shade and fire pits (that are movable which was very convenient!) and picnic tables in each site.

The negative was that the WiFi only worked when you were up by the office, and even then sometimes when you were connected you couldn't access the internet. Also, the site is very close to the train tracks, and the Union Pacific would rumble loudly through a couple times a night.

This was a nice campground with friendly staff. We tent camped and was nice to have our own space. It was right across from Shasta lake which was nice and the store there had amazing prices and sold ice. The swimming pool was also great to cool off in was very clean. The bathrooms could use some TLC and the train that runs through are the only 2 down falls but all in all a great campground

We had an EXCELLENT experience at the camp site and we talked to several people who come there frequently. We will DEFINITELY be back to stay there. I'm sorry there are so many negative reviews about this place because it really is a great little getaway for the family!! It's a keeper!

BE WARNED... there is a train that runs along the edge of the site. For us, that was a bonus... right outside of our trailer window. But we love trains!! If that is something that you think will disturb you, you might want to consider staying elsewhere.
